Wat. Wait, is that...does that picture mean there will be creeper spawners in vanilla minecraft? In 1.3. And whoa, Vechs talks to Dinnerbone? I had no idea. This is frightening! But...conquering a creeper spawner would be awesome! If you can keep them from blowing up the spawner, you can then farm for gunpowder!

Apparently not for vanilla. Rumors are that there will be a GUI for spawners in creative, but no one really knows.

Creeper spawners would be amazing - I'm just saying, I'd really like them
However - they'd be easy to take out; just get a creeper to explode next to it.
Mojang would have to make the spawners harder to destroy - but not impossible to destroy. Spawners are great; but sometimes you just want to remove it because it's getting in the way. My Underground base for instance - that huge hole in the ground? There used to be a Skeleton Spawner, at least three Cave Spider Spawners and a Zombie Spawner - all removed :)
I'd like to have the choice whether to keep them or destroy them - like I also did with the Silverfish Spawner near the End Portal.

Make a creeper blow it up they said. It would be easy they said.

=P Haha. Once again, I look back to Luclin's Hardcore playthrough and remember the traumatizing time he had with the creeper spawner.

I agree that spawners should be a little bit tougher to destroy. I feel like I could accidentally break them now.

A spawner gui in Creative would be nice. I'm glad they're trying to make it easier for people to create maps in vanilla. Not everyone wants to bother with mods.

Spawners are easy enough to destroy. Maybe make it so that the harder the difficulty you're on, the longer it takes to destroy?

@Zyrandar you removed a skellie spawner?! B-but infinite arrows and bows! Dispensers are going to be more awesome in 1.3...

Bug fixes - is exactly that = They're fixing bugs :P Nothing more, nothing less. Just because they haven't added "new Stuff" doesn't mean they haven't done anything at all. Bugs in minecraft are quite bad - some of those bugs are SMP related. And considering that Mojang are combining Server and Client --- it's no wonder that all that they're doing is Bug Fixing. That's good. IT'S BEYOND GOOD.
They're aiming for one thing = to make the game as bug free as possible. That's fantastic. SMP without glitchy mobs? yes please!
It's a fantastic snapshot in my honest opinion : - )

I'm also happy about the bug-fixes, don't think I'm not. But keep in mind that along with the fixes, there are some new bugs.

Ooh, new snapshot already? Excited to learn it's all bug fixes. That means 1.3 is getting close!!! I wonder what bugs are fixed? Hmm must go read up on it...

Oh man, I heard that this week, 1.3 is finally going to come out. I don't know if that's true but I hope it's true. I think I might be doing a lot of remodeling when it does. Stairs in all the wood colors! I can have different colored wooden roofs! My stair cases will match with the rest of the flooring! Enderchests!

Holy crap! If it's this week, I'ma poop myself. It's gonna be first week off from everything and I'll have so much time to do stuff. Ahhhhh. Even if it's not this week, that just gives me another week to get ready for it. Haha.

This No-Exploring-Until-1.3 Club is a drag, man. But I'm in it for jungle ruins and desert pyramids. I want them close to spawn, or close-ish. Or along the way to a stronghold, that would be convenient.

The contest, right! I didn't do much with it yet. Of course, I'm building a giant tree. xD Going to go for more natural stuff in my entry, but I really love your building you were showing. I've been thinking of starting a thread here to show my progress. What do you think?

Now you're making me really want to go exploring! Nope, nope, I won't do it. I might fill in the rest of my map but not go any farther.

Hm, now that 1.3 is officially given the date of August 1st, I wonder if they will add in the fence in all four plank colors? They have time. :P Do want, really bad. That would make the extra month's wait worth it, I think. That and fixing getting stuck in chests.

And I think Jeb's exact words were something more like "Projected date" is August 1st. So don't quote me on it being on that date. Haha. 

Multi-colored fences would be nice! And multi-colored stairs and half-slabs. But I foresee that being a later addition.
