I knew it...! You're building a .. a ... a ... erm .. a whatever it is! lol ... that's not a bad hole you've dug there. .. but I've dug bigger! haha! JK - I'm on the edge of my seat in anticipation now... :)
Another short update. Finally getting some ender-pearls. When I've got a nice stack, like 16, I'm gonna find me a stronghold. Or maybe only 8 ender-pearls. I'll see. Also, an even cooler hole, with smooth-stone walls, and a very short mining expedition, which although was only to get lots of coal (Check that off the list!), also has a dungeon right near my new area! Yay!
Enderpearl #1:
Dungeon:
Mining Trip Loot:
Enderpearls #2,3,4 (Total: 5. Only a few more and I'll go find a stronghold):
That picture with the dying Enderman still holding a dirt block is epic. . .hahahhahahah! By the way - I'd take at least half a stack of Eyes of Ender when searching for a Stronghold. Throw some to find the stronghold [You might lose one or two] and - if I recall with my old world - you're going to need at least 12 to fix the End Portal. Best to have Eyes of Ender and not need them, than need them and not have them :)
Alright, now I'm just pissed and Happy as I don't know what. And pissed. Every Golden Cloud has this freaking Black Lining.
Lets start with the good news. I got some more enderpearls after more mob-hunting.
Then it was time to make them into eyes. Nether time! This took so long to find that one fortress... Thank goodness for FR potions.
And I'm off! To find a stronghold.
Stronghold=Found.
Anyway, we had enough extra eyes to almost finish the portal. Only 3 more, right?
The next thing we need is quick transportation! Of course we use... The Nether!
Unfortunately, it took me to my other portal, so I needed to reset it. But first, I needed the coordinates for the stronghold. I hadn't written them down, so I followed my instincts until I found the area. I dropped through my hole to the stronghold (I had dug down),and died. Spawning back at my balconies. Ahh Rage!!!
So I went back again, in the night.
Now comes the bad bit. I wrote down the coordinates of the stronghold, and went into the Nether to set up a corresponding portal. I needed to bridge over some lava to get to the exact location. So I did my trick- Pressing Alt+Shift. Sadly, I forgot that I shouldn't open my inventory.
Next Time: I use half my diamond to enchant a new sword, pickaxes, and other crap I lost!
*gives wartower9 a bighug* ahhh man.. .sucks.... i know the feeling dude.. I've just died in the "Double Ravine of Pointless and Annoying Death" a third time :(
Ahhhhh. That makes me so sad. =( I guess all that diamond you found earlier is going to come in handy, huh? But at least you have stronghold coords and can go back there. =)
Yeah. I think I'm going to wait on 1.3 to re-enchant stuff (this time I really am). C'mon _jeb, get out 1.3!!!
So two projects: -Finishing that big old hole in the mountain. -Building a rail to the stronghold. This time, not through the Nether. And some more aesthetic things. Nothing big.
How long is that tunnel to the Stronghold going to be? And 1.3! Eegadz, I can't wait. Hopefully you'll actually be able to hold off on enchanting this time. ;D Haha.
Oh, yes, and you can always make a cobblestone generator if you run out. And the track over the water does sound rather nice. If only there were dolpins in Minecraft... *Sigh.
That's very true. But if whales were indestructable, now that would be awesome. Maybe Mojang and Friends aren't putting any endangered animals in Minecraft to prevent outbursts of rage from animal rights activists. Is that what you were thinking, Wartower?
That is some really terrible luck! I would probably ragequit if that happened to me. In my opinion, whales would be a great addition to minecraft. We are talking about a game where it is perfectly acceptable to cut down every tree on the continent, blow the terrain up till dirt ceases to exist, and dig gigantic pits to the bottom of the earth to throw pigs down. I dont think whales would be too dangerous to add.
The panda thing? I haven't even heard about that. Care to elaborate? And right now, since pigs, sheep, and cows are sooo common irl, who cares if you kill them in a video game? But now we're talking adding endagered animals. Don't know if they should go there. Haha.
I wouldn't feel right if whales could be killed for resources, but if they were sort of like wolves, where killing one turned all of them against you, I think it would be okay. Not sure what purpose whales would serve. Transportation? Maybe whale song would scare off mobs in a certain radius?
@gilbert- WoW put out an update with features using Panda characters, and I'm wondering how they got around the fact that they're an endangered species.
@supermelon- That makes sense... Yeah, that makes sense.
And this may be a dumb question, but uhh, why are you digging a big hole? Does it have to do with the stronghold any, or am I just completely lost? Haha.
