A short search for lava turns into mass-gathering of that wonderful red thing, and a whole lot of caving. (Oh, and gilbert- you're going to love this. Even more diamonds).
Re-Enchanting all my items took a few hours...
I'll be using the Efficiency V for some regular digging as well. I have two other Fortune III picks, one with Unbreaking III, so i don't really mind.
I needed to finish the brewing room, and get that lava. So I dug down in my mines until I got a lava pool (right next to my staircase!). This is where a lightbulb goes off in my head. What if I stored the lava... But not in buckets? Result: Oh yeah... Lava pools have tons of source blocks! I mean really!
Anyway, the lava stretched on for awhile and then combined with a cave to make a huge cavern-system. Diamonds, Dungeon, and more!
By this point I was really, really lost. I ended up digging straight up and found myself in the desert near my base.
Total Loot:
Also- T_Gilbert, I've worked on the TP a bit more. Would you like an update with a few more items, or do you want to wait? I'm good with both.
Goodness gracious, more diamonds. Ugh. Haha. You should definitely invent some sort of teleporter and give me some of those. =P Haha.
And those are awesome enchants! All level 50, I suppose?
Did you use the enderpearls to get around a lot? I noticed you have three in you hotbar and then only one in the next screenie, and then only six in your whole inventory later. Haha.
Teleporters in Minecraft would be awesome, agreed.
Armor (I enchanted an iron set) was lvl ~22, pick and sword was level 50.
Yeah, the enderpearls are very useful. Especially since my areas are spaced out, not right next to each other. And it helps for getting over lava pools, and getting out of holes in caves.
I must say, those boots are awesome for a level 22 enchant! And I was wondering why it took you a few hours to get the levels since there's only three pics, but now I know. Hahaha.
I always seem to get hurt when I use enderpearls. Maybe I'm just not supposed to use them. Haha.
And hurray for updates! Would like me to start putting the MediaFire download link in the YouTube descriptions, or should I hold off until it's 100% complete?
I was going to ask your opinion on this... At what point should I "publish" this, by putting it on the Minecraft forums? After I finish the items? In the meantime, please don't put the link in there. maybe just tell them, that for a link they can message me on the Minecraft forums. I'd rather not have that link out there yet.
Quick little update- I've done some exploring (only a little bit, I promise!), and some caving. I started to get burned out from working on the hole/tower thingy, so I decided to take a break and start on something else. I know daydrifter will recognize this idea, since Zisteau did it to Etho, but my plan for this base is to turn this massive cave into a mass of hallways and tunnels, all nice and square!
On the other hand, I'm gonna need tons of diamond picks. Good thing I found 36 diamonds in that cave!
Ha ha, yessss, I remember that "prank." It would look neat if you put lava in the walls too but Zisteau's way was too um, dangerous. Behind glass would be better.
It's really easy to get caught up in caving when you're trying to renovate a cave.
So, I found this great area with an insanely large cave system, combined with an abandoned mineshaft.
And as a result of that, I present to you, WT9's caving collage:
Spoiler
Diamonds! Spawners! And Big Empty Holes! Oh my (Loot from the first mining trip)!
On the other hand, not amazing enchantments.
Renovation Phase:
Second Caving Trip:
Can we find 3 cave spider spawners that are all usable at once? Yes we can! I have no plans for this right now. Cave Spiders are really, really annoying to farm, and I prefer to use my endermen farm. At some point I'll get back to them.
And the lootz. Now I need new armor. Damn. Freaking spiders poisoning me. At least I remembered to take off my boots.
An Extra Pic: Finished Brewing Room (not sure if I showed this):
Wow. THREE cave spider spawners within range of each other?! They are annoying to work with but three of them might be worth the hassle. Just wow!
And look at all that loots. I wanna say that abandoned mineshaft looks familiar, but then again, mineshafts cutting across ravines aren't all that rare. Hm.
No, I don't believe you did show your brewing room. It looks great! The lava tubes really add something to it.
lol i was gonna post on topic about your jurney but... Y U HAVE 28 COOK PORK!?! jk lol ok on topic nice brewing room! Good luck on your cave mansion thing, and one suggestion: THREE CAVE SPIDER SPAWNERS!!! In range? Nice! Annoying but nice! I suggest you make a mob farm combineing them, just as a added challange lol :P
If T-Junction means mess of wood and fences mixed in with cobwebs, randomly going across a ravine, then yes, it is that.
I don't know about a spawner setup... It would have to be complicated as hell, since they can climb blocks. You have to leave them in a 1 to 2 high tunnel the entire way through.
Hey dude, calm down. I can't update every minute. Remember- I'm doing two things at once, the WIP Texture Pack and this world. I'm a busy person.
If you really can't live without an update, then here you go-
More caving. I'm addicted. I can't stop. More Diamonds. I need to enchant stuff. I think I have... A stack and a half altogether of diamonds? Maybe 7 stacks of uncooked iron, probably 2-3 stacks of uncooked gold, and some coal. I've been ignoring coal and redstone.
First batch of diamonds-
Second batch of diamonds-
Third batch of diamonds-
Weird dungeon-
One of two double-chests filled with materials.
And a tiny, tiny bit of work on the cave. Just a storage area.
Going to have to agree with Gilbert: the mossy cobblestone texture is looking good! Your texture pack is coming along nicely. Are you going to make 'round' items like ender pearls and snowballs square shaped to fit with your theme, or do you have something else in mind? Just curious.
And DIAMONDS, OH MY! You're like some crazy diamond magnet!
I've just rendered two pictures of world in Chunky... Too bad my computer is crap, and I only could run Chunky for awhile, not the full time. In other words, the render could be much, much better. But it still looks cool!
