Looky at all the updates! Nice house! I like it. Oh, music cues! Sadly I don't have the Star Wars music on this laptop yet so TO YOUTUBE!
Very nice. Seeing the two sections of the bridge within view of each other, I immediately thought of the painting of the creation of man on the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel:
Epic, indeed.
I forgot about that whole uploading save files thing. Perhaps I should go around making sure things are labeled. I'm fine with June 20th!
You know what I keep forgetting about? Fishing. I have plenty of everything to fish and get like a million stacks of fish and live like forever, but I never do fish. Haha. I mean, does anybody even fish anymore? It's almost too easy.
June 20th sounds perfect! How are we going to do it? One thread that we'll just delete when the next upload time comes or post them in our own individual threads or what? You guys might find some... odd things in my world. Haha. I'm not labeling anything. You guys can just be all "wot?"
Anywho, thanks! I did not think of the Sistine Chapel. I suppose it is sorta epic like it, though. Haha.
Did some junk in this update. Made the village a little more home-y and put beds in all the rooms. =)
I also cut down A LOT of trees. Ended up using one and a half iron axes to get all the wood. But it all turned out pretty good in the end. I also love the bridge. Can walk on it safely at night since it's all lit up and only connected to the ground in two spots. =]
But! Enough of me talking/me typing/you reading. Picture-time!
Fix'd. I like this roof bunches better.
So I was walking along the bridge when I noticed a dark spot. I've never seen single-block lighting bugs. Are they rare? Have I made a discovery? =D
And here's the sunset. Doesn't look that great with my hugemungus bridge in the way. Hahaha. But this is from a new building. You guys'll have to wait to see it. Ooh! I guess I could show it in the vid.
And here's the base floor. I'm very happy with this building.
I didn't think of how we would go about posting our world downloads. I kind of figured it'd just be in our own single player posts but hm, suppose something easier to find would be better.
I love the house! The balcony up top is a nice touch. The sunset picture looks really nice, especially with the way the trees in the distance are grayed out. Don't know if I've ever seen a lighting glitch on just one block...and a water block at that. Or is it the block beneath the water?
Archiving the save uploads might be a good idea. Maybe have one thread for each upload that everyone posts their upload in, and then closing the thread once that upload period is over and archiving it? Might be a good idea for when we have more people on here. For now, it'll probably just be easier to put it on our threads we have, like you said. Haha.
Thanks! I have a great liking for balconies. Haha. I tend to put them everywhere... And eh, there're better places to take a picture of the sunset than right behind a bridge. Haha. I agree that the trees being grayed out are cool, though. I've always liked that. Oh, I've seen plenty of water block lighting glitches, but yeah, never on just one block. And it seems to just be on the top; if you look below the water, there's no sign of a lighting bug. *Shrug.
Goodness! I just noticed that you've got that water texture! I thought it wouldn't work, since it doesn't work for me. Maybe it's an optifine thing, and maybe it's just me.
@world saves- How about we all post the downloads in a main thread, but continue in the personal threads already existent?
Uploads in one big thread, continue our personal threads sounds best. Good idea, Wartower!
Zyrandar, you should definitely upload it! I wanna see the big hole and stuff. Haha.
The water texture very well could be an Optifine thing. *Shrug. I have clear water enabled, so maybe that's what's causing it to show up. I also had to move the texture.png in the zip folder to a different spot when I first downloaded it, but that shouldn't be the problem. I dunno. Haha. Maybe it's just you. =P Haha.
Hopefully I'll have the vid up today. It depends on how I feel after class. =P
Not being annoying at all, man. Haha. Just a matter of changing something in the options. And it didn't do anything to turn off clear water. Just made it all more blue. Another thing is I have my graphics hardware acceleration turned down (from when my Minecraft wouldn't load; that was the only way to fix it.) You might try that with yours? Turning down hardware acceleration to about the third notch on your computer. I don't see how that could have anything at all to do with it, but it's worth a shot. *Shrug.
Edit: And...just finished. Great video, I commented on Youtube already but I'll repeat here anyway. I love that the bridge isn't just a straight line all the way down, but curves and flows with the landscape. Very organic. :) It took a lot of resources but it's worth it. The houses are great.
So the lightling glitch is still there? Huh. Weird!

I already commented on YouTube also, but I shall repeat here. Thanks! Haha. It was quite a bit more resources to make the bridge flow and whatnot, but I had a ton of cobble anyhow, and wooden planks aren't too hard to get. Haha. And thanks again!
Yeahhh. I'ma jump in that lighting bug one day and fix it. Haha.
Too short, huh? Hahaha. I can live with that. Next one may be a bit longer. =)
heehee - was just being silly. That bridge is amazing - you obviously worked hard on it; ever thought about adding a railing or do you like the whole - "I might fall of at any moment" part of the build [?] :P
I thought about adding a railing, but I enjoy the freedom of being able to jump off at anytime. Especially on that nice stone landing. Haha. Not really that, but I do like jumping off in the river every now and then, and with the railing, I would feel confined and would feel the need to make the bridge wider, which would take even more resources to do. Haha. Plus the "I might fall to the my death at any time" feeling is pretty awesome. =)
But I don't like the Nether. Haha. Course, I guess since one block in the Nether is the same distance as eight blocks in the Overworld, it would take an eighth of the time to complete... So I might! I don't ever run into Ghasts, anyhow, so I probably wouldn't have a problem building it. =P Haha.
lol - if ghasts really looked like that I couldn't take them seriously!! hahaha! I'd just fall about laughing every time I saw one :P And then die horribly in lava :/
Haha! They'd still be deadly, then. Just innocent looking. Haha.
Update!
Not much has happened lately due to various things going on, not excluding the awesome world upload day and lots of YouTube happenings. But anywho, here's a small update to try and get me back in the swing of things.
This sheep has been in this exact spot for several days. I think I shall keep it as a pet. =]
It's snowing! The first snowday that I've witnessed since I've been at the village. It made me so happy. Haha.
And I came out here to do some more work on this, but I realized after walking all the way from the main base that I had no dirt on me. Hahahaha. That portal/speed potion idea is getting better and better everyday, Wartower!
falsfj;safj look at that ghast's hat! That needs to be in a texture pack immediately.
So much cute going on! Pet sheep, pretty snowy ice village, derpy ghast MS Paint masterpiece...even the last screenie is cute because you have a random sign in your hotbar.
