If you ever come across a good story map, let me know.

It's going to take a long time to get everything ready enough to share, but it'll get there. :P Since I'm not just building anymore, but also working on characters and story, it's keeping me motivated since I'm not doing the same thing all the time.

I finally have a tiny update. I was getting so jealous of Gilbert and your hundreds of diamonds that I went down into my branch mine. I found another ravine that I haven't explored yet (gah ravines are just EVERYWHERE). But right before me on the ground were some diamonds!

2012-07-07_185128.png

I secured the area with cobblestone and dug down so I could position myself to catch the diamonds before they fell into the lava that is definitely under them. I used my Fortune III pick and got six out of those three ore blocks. Not terrible.

I was scared of losing the diamonds while exploring that new area, so I went back up to deposite them before going back down. I ended up having an ADD moment and going down another branch and finding a different cave that I didn't finish exploring. I gathered up a bunch of resources, found a skinny little ravine, lit that up, then I realized I was lost.

I pillared up to the top of the ravine and dug a way up and started to hear a lot of sheep baaing. I knew I must be near the barn and sure enough, I came up at the edge of the water outside the barn. I didn't explore that one crazy lava filled ravine yet.

Think I"m done with exploring for the moment, but I marked the branch that leads to it with a gold ore block.

Currently, I'm doing some terraforming. Gonna flatten out another area, connect some water to the ocean, set up a tree nursery.

Alpha story... Interesting!
I really like the feud of the bakers. It adds some tension to quiet Merris.
I would happily play this as an adventure map!

Diamonds... I really should get to branch-mining.

I shall! In fact, if I come across any story map, I'll let you know. Haha. They're so hard to come by these days.

Hurray for diamond updates!

Ugh. Ravines. I dislike ravines. They scare me a lot. And when you add lava... nope.avi. You are very brave. Haha.

Feud! I needed that word. Keep forgetting what to call things. I should go back to school, getting forgetful. Or maybe just read a dictionary.

Yeah I don't usually see story maps, just a bunch of CTM or adventure maps or a bazillion Parkour. Well, the last time I checked anyway. I haven't looked at maps in forever, not since Lethamyr but I just found that via Youtube.

I hate ravines too. They're a pain in the butt. Ores are up on the walls in hard to reach places, if you're at the bottom you have to be wary of mobs above you, especially if there is water coming down. A creeper might decide to take a swim and say hello.

I'm terrified of running water and lava...which seem to always be next to each other. You end up in the water, a skeleton's shooting you into the lava. It's in the code, has to be. Okay, so that's never happened to me, but I'm always scared that it will. So I'm very cautious. I will not jump into running water, ever.

---

I enchanted a diamond shovel yesterday, and am grinding for xp at my zombie farm right now to enchant another. I am going to be digging a lot. Hm, may need to enchant another pick, too. My good work pick is almost used up.

Oh and um, I totally forgot to share what I ended up doing with the light blue sheep by the townhall! Sorry Gilbert. As soon as I started breaking the wall, the sheep went straight for the cliffs or tried to push me off the mountain, and it was really annoying. Also, I had no wheat up there with me so...

It was for their own good.

:'( I felt bad after that.

Well I just looked at maps yesterday. Haha. Little to no story maps. At least, that I saw. I'll be checking minecraftdl a little more frequently, though, in hopes of finding a good one.

I am severely disappointed. I hope you felt bad after killing those poor, defenseless, light blue, cute sheep. *Sniffle (Because of sinuses; I'm not crying. Haha.)

But you did say you were sorry, so I shall forgive you. ^_^

Now I'm scared that I will be murdered by sheep. Better keep an eye out.

So I wanted to add another wheat field.

In order to plant all that wheat, however, I needed a lot of seeds. So I spent a lot of time harvesting wheat and seeds from my existing field. A creeper decided to help me out...

:( Jerk.

Finished the field as well as a few rows of pumpkins and melons.

You can see a portion of my stream. I still need to pretty it up but it's okay as is.

Also worked some on a road that follows along the stream towards the ocean, added more gravel paths around the barn and fixed the transition between the stone brick road and gravel path that leads to the farm.

Right now, I'm just finishing the interiors of the houses along the water and building a new house.

The barn you see before you has tons of space for storage, I just need to get off my butt and finally add all the chests. :P

I don't watch much TV so unless it's called "The Middle" I have no idea what it is, lol.

Off topic tends to happen when there's a lack of updates. And we're just silly. We all need to pop into the chat more often, maybe it'd keep us from doing this so much. It would be nice if the main page had the chat built into it. An old forum I used to go on was like that, and it got to where we were on the chat more than posting in the forums.

Okay so that got off topic.

Also, I think I'm going to start putting all my images in spoilers to help pages load faster. Anyhoo, update!

Broke my sword and so ran back home to enchant another one. I believe I used 8 levels to get...

Spoiler

Not bad! I love Fire Aspect. I wish I could get that enchantment on everything. Even boots. Flaming feet, do want!

Decided it was about time I had a tree farm since my temporary spot for trees is now the second wheat field. I had to clear out a few hills and I used some TNT to speed up the process.

Spoiler

Sadly, I didn't have much TNT so I still have to clear more of the land the old fashioned way. While working on my farm, I kept hearing zombies. At first it sounded like just one or two, but then it got ridiculous and suspicious, I started to dig down into that hill...

Spoiler

Zombert spawner! I looted the chest (cocoa beans, bread, a bucket, nothing too special) and mined all the mossy cobble. Funny thing is, a short distance away from that dungeon are caves I've already explored. If I would have just went a teeny bit deeper I would have found this spawner a month ago. Derp.

Some time after that, I finally finished my farm:

Spoiler

This is the beginnings of my tree nursery. There will be a little shop where you can buy the trees and cut them down yourself, or purchase saplings if you want to try growing them at home instead.

Have some more pictures:

Spoiler

Next, I'm going to finally build the bakery and the cafe, but that will take some time. I will probably look online for ideas and do some sketching and testing in Creative, too.

True, a diamond sword would last longer and probably have better enchantments, but I get so many free swords from my zombie farm that I'd rather just use them than make swords with my precious diamonds. :P

And thanks for the compliments!

I was wondering how long it would take before somebody used TNT. Hahaha. So you cleared out that whole hill? How big was it??

That tree farm is awesome. The stair/planters are really, really cool!

Yay! You're about to start on the bakery and café! Makes me happy. Haha.

I wish I had enough TNT to mine with it... Well, I'll have to wait until I get a hostile mob system going.

That tree farm design is really awesome! Very cool.

I still didn't get the whole hill because I ran out of TNT and all my good tools broke, and I'm lazy. So that one hill is going to be the little shop, and the other hill...I think I'll just fix it up to look decent and be done with it, since it's no longer in the way of the trees. The hills were fairly big. Sigh...I wanted to build in an extreme hills biome. Next time I start a world, I'm sticking with flat land. :P

Yes, the cafe and bakery is under construction! And I am amused by the fact that the cafe sits right under the um, toilet water from the schoolhouse lol. Had to move the stream up a bit, too, since I kept digging up and getting flooded.

It's the colors of Neopolitan ice cream! And Dairy Pig Ice Cream is directly underneath it, too.

Spoiler

Still much to do. The bakery is going to take up the corner area in the space beside the cafe, and I'm trying to figure out what colors and materials to use. I may actually use gray wool for the first time in this world. Gray and blue, perhaps? Maybe the awning can be white and blue, and the building gray. Or hm, perhaps red brick, like with the butcher shop. Yeah, I think I'll do that. Ugh, hope I have enough brick. Stupid townhall roof. >:(

Also, there will be little tables and chairs for people to sit and sip their coffee and munch on their baked goodies. No need for umbrellas since the balcony is in the shade.

Haha. Yeahh, extreme hills and major terraforming jobs seem to go together.

Ha! Does the toilet water deter customers from coming to the café, any? Or is it just a fact of life kinda like how it used to be in medieval times? Haha. I like the Neopolitan color-scheme!

Hurray for possibly having to gather more clay! =D

I think the towns motto is 'Toilet Water? What Toilet Water?'

Wartower nailed it. XD

So, nope, nobody notices that the water's source is less than ideal. It's just one of those details that aren't realistic but make me lol inside, so I'm keeping it. It's still an alternate way to get down should Creepers be posted at all the doors, too. Maybe the bathroom in the townhall will have a water stream that comes hilariously close to a building, too.

(Gilbert how do you get the accent mark on the 'e' in 'cafe'? I feel like a failure to my French teacher for not putting it in)

Update:

Built the bakery. I didn't have to gather too much clay to complete it, as it's a pretty small building.

Spoiler

The little tables on the balcony:

Spoiler

Kept hearing an Enderman and finally spotted him. Gotta love fire aspect:

Spoiler

Still much work to do. The bakery and cafe interiors need to be done, and the balcony itself needs to be finished so it has supports and looks good. Also might trim back the balcony above the shops so it lines up. There will be a house or two up there.
